We are thrilled to announce that our founder Alexandra Poole has been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s Hull Daily Mail Business Awards, in the Entrepreneur of the Year category.
The judging panel for this year’s awards stated that resilience and determination in the face of adversity stood out when it came to creating the shortlist. In particular, judges in the Entrepreneur of the Year were looking for examples of actions and strategies that have been instrumental to the success of the business, enterprising behaviour such as originality and innovation and a positive impact on the wider economy and local communities.
Alexandra’s active role in supporting others, hosting a number of workshops during the 2019 Humber Business Week around Practical Problem Solving and Effective Business Start-up to support local businesses improve operations while supporting those with new business ideas to get them off the ground, along with her role on the Board of Trustees for Renewable World, played an integral part of the entry.
Alex commented: “I am thrilled to have been selected as a finalist for this award, ending an unprecedented year on such a high. I look forward to celebrating with the very best businesses across East Yorkshire at the awards ceremony next year. Good luck to all those who are nominated!”.
